Battery — removal and installation (Opel Vectra B)

The battery is located on the front side of the engine compartment.

Removal

1. Remove the battery cover, loosen the negative battery terminal (1) and remove it. Disconnect the positive battery terminal (2).



2. Unscrew the bolt (indicated by the arrow) and remove the battery mounting clamp.

3. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the battery mounting plate.



4. Unscrew the battery mounting plate mounting bolts (indicated by arrows).

5. Remove the battery mounting plate.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. First connect the positive terminal of the battery, then the negative one. After connecting the terminals to the battery, lubricate them with technical petroleum jelly.
