The injection system and the ignition system have a common control unit (microprocessor). All fuel injection systems operate in the same way - they supply fuel intermittently, while adjusting the duration of injection (see illustration 1.0).

Fuel injection in this case is performed sequentially. Each injector fires independently and injects fuel according to the firing order of the cylinders, injecting fuel into the intake valves. This results in a better power-to-exhaust ratio and the engine responds faster when accelerating and accelerating.
Simtec Fuel Injection System
The Simtec 56.1 system is a multipoint injection system with a runnerless ignition system with knock control. The level of harmful substances in the exhaust gas is maintained within acceptable parameters thanks to the exhaust gas recirculation system, the use of so-called secondary air and an adsorber (see illustration 1.0a).

Vehicles with a 2.2 liter engine are equipped with the advanced Simtec 71 system, which provides the use of a combined engine control unit, as well as an electronic throttle with an electronic accelerator, a second lambda probe and an additional catalyst in engine start mode.
