Removing
1. Disconnect the wire terminal «masses» (-) from the battery.
Vehicles with V6 engine
2. Remove the battery and upper radiator shroud.
3. Remove the secondary air shut-off valve bracket by unscrewing the two bolts securing it to the fan diffuser.
4. Remove the air pre-chamber.
5. Release from fastening at the top left of the radiator additional coolant pump.
6. Disconnect the fan motor multi-pin plug.
7. Unscrew the bolts 1 and 2 that fasten the fan and electric motor to the radiator, remove the fan from the holder 3 and remove it by moving upwards (see illustration).
8. Unscrew the bolts securing the motor to the fan diffuser (see arrows in illustration).
9. Press the locks on the motor shaft and remove the fan impeller (see illustration).
Installation
10. Put the impeller on the motor shaft and secure with the clamps. Make sure that the grip on the shaft is in the groove on the impeller.
11. Attach the fan to the diffuser by tightening the screws to 4 Nm.
12. Insert the fan diffuser into the guide on the left side of the radiator and secure with 4 Nm bolts.
13. Connect the multi-pin fan motor power plug.
Lay the power cable so that when the fan rotates, it does not fall under the impeller.
Vehicles with V6 engine
14. Attach the holder for the secondary air damper to the fan diffuser.
15. Install the upper radiator shroud and battery, as well as the air pre-chamber and auxiliary water pump.
16. Connect the wire terminal to the battery «masses» (-), set the clock and enter the code into the radio.
17. Start the engine and warm it up until the radiator fan turns on.
