Timing Belt Covers (Opel Omega B)

Outer cover

Removal

1. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness retainer from the top of the timing belt cover.

3. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the outer timing belt cover.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Back cover

Removal

1. Remove the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets. Remove the timing belt tensioner.

2. Disconnect the crankshaft sensor wire from the rear cover.

3. Unscrew the rear cover mounting bolts and remove the cover.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
