Removing
1. Remove the large mounting clip from the caliper if necessary.
2. Loosen the caliper pin bolts.
3. Remove the caliper from the mounting bracket.
4. Pinch the brake hose, unscrew the connection bolt and disconnect the hose from the caliper.
5. Loosen the two fixing screws.
6. Remove the caliper mounting bracket.
Repair
1. Clean the caliper, bend the tabs (indicated by arrows) and remove the protective plate from the piston, if necessary.
2. Remove piston and seal.
3. Remove the hydraulic piston seal being careful not to scratch the cylinder walls (using a blunt non-metallic tool).
4. Press bushings out of caliper mounting holes.
5. Flush all elements in clean brake fluid and replace worn or damaged elements.
Assembly
1. Assembly of elements of a support is carried out upside-down.
2. Lubricate cylinder walls, seals and piston with brake fluid prior to installation. On pre-1998 4-cylinder models, rotate the piston so that the protrusion of the piston is horizontal to the caliper.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
