1. Block the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it on axle stands.
2. Remove the bolts securing the drive shaft to the rear hub. Remove spring washers.
3. Disconnect the drive shaft from the rear hub, support it above the brake disc assembly.
4. Remove the rear wheel.
5. Place a container under the final drive mechanism.
6. Carefully disengage the drive shaft from the final drive differential. On models with ABS, be careful not to damage the speed sensor and gear.
7. Get a power shaft.
8. Check up a lock ring on an internal edge of a power shaft, in case of need replace it.
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the drive shaft is fully inserted into the side gear of the differential, the retaining ring should be in the groove. Tighten the mounting bolts in two stages, given in the Specifications (photo). Check and, if necessary, top up the oil level in the final drive mechanism.
