Checking the final drive oil level
2. Jack up the front and rear of the car, secure it on axle supports so that the car is at the same level.
3. Unscrew the filler plug on the right side of the final drive mechanism.
4. Check the oil level, it should reach the base of the filler plug hole.
5. If necessary, add oil as given in Specifications.
6. Install and tighten the filler plug to the specified tightening torque Specification.
7. Check the final drive gear seal and differential bearing seals. Replace them if necessary.
8. Lower the car to the ground.
Checking the rubber boots of the drive shaft
9. Block the front wheels, jack up the rear of the car and secure it on axle stands.
10. With the handbrake released, rotate each wheel and check the condition of the drive shaft boots. Also check that the brackets are secured.
11. Lower the car to the ground.
