Note: The transmission oil level should always be below the inspection hole (up to 16 mm). Check the transmission oil level only after repair operations on the gearbox and adjust if necessary.

Removal
Remove the lower engine compartment cover, if equipped.
Unscrew the inspection hole plug on the gearbox housing.
Disconnect the reverse light switch wiring harness connector.
Installation
Top up the transmission fluid level.
Add transmission oil until it flows out of the inspection hole.
Tighten the inspection hole plug to 4 Nm, further turning +(45–135)°.
Tighten the reversing light switch to 20 N·m.
Use a new O-ring.
Connect the reverse light switch wiring harness connector.
Attach the lower engine compartment cover, if equipped.
