Pic. 1. Dashboard: And – a zone of installation of an airbag of the forward passenger; 1 - side nozzle of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system; 2 – a combination of devices; 3 - the central nozzle of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system; 4 – information display; 5 - radio; 6 - control unit for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system (climate control); 7 - socket block and USB port; 8 - glove box
The decorative panel is a molded plastic piece attached with screws to the frame. With the help of removable elements, control devices, car and heating system controls are attached to the decorative panel (conditioning) and ventilation or climate control (depending on configuration); pads covering the nodes located under the instrument panel, or serving to install instruments, controls; nozzles of the heating and air conditioning system, glove box.
Work on the dismantling of the instrument panel is quite complex and requires high qualifications of the performer. In this regard, this subsection describes only the removal of glove boxes, since the removal of the right glove box is required to replace the cabin filter of the ventilation and air conditioning system, and the removal of the left glove box is necessary when removing the steering column and to gain full access to the fuse and relay mounting block located under the instrument panel. Removing the remaining elements of the instrument panel (nozzles of the ventilation system, instrument cluster, information display, radio, control unit for the heating and air conditioning system of the cabin, switches installed in the decorative overlay of the console) described in the relevant sections.
If it is necessary to remove the instrument panel for replacement or access to other components, contact a service station.
Warning! In zone A (see fig. 1) the instrument panel is equipped with a front passenger airbag. Unskilled removal of the instrument panel or repair of its individual components can cause unexpected airbag deployment, which, in turn, is fraught with injury.
