Removal and installation the fuel level sensor (Opel Astra H)

1. The fuel flow sensor consists of a measuring float and a potentiometer. When the fuel level drops, the sensor float also drops, and the potentiometer connected to the float increases the electrical resistance of the sensor and generates a corresponding signal. The fuel reserve sensor is installed in the fuel pump assembly housing (see Section 8).

2. Remove the fuel pump assembly (see Section 8).

3. Press the clamps (see accompanying illustration) and carefully remove the sensor from the socket in an upward direction.



4. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Caution: When removing the sensor and installing it back, try to avoid deformation of the measuring float lever - do not pull on the sensor connecting axis!
