Checking the coolant level (Opel Astra G)

On cars with a closed cooling system, periodic topping up of the liquid is not required. A rapid drop in the coolant level and frequent topping up indicate a leak and the need to fix it. Check the condition of the radiator, hoses and connections, the presence of traces of leakage on them.

Add only antifreeze solution. It is not recommended to add water due to the lowering of the freezing point of the mixture.

1. When the engine is cold, the level should be above the KALT/COLD mark on the tank.



2. If it is necessary to add fluid, wait until the engine has completely cooled down and unscrew the tank cap.
