Interior Lighting Lamps — Removal and Installation (Opel Astra G)

Front interior light

1. On the Astra model, pry up and remove the diffuser, take out the lamp (the lamp is mounted on spring contacts)





2. On the Zafira model, remove the diffuser from the sunroof trim, disconnect the wire, turn and remove the holder, remove the lamp from the holder (see photo).

Rear interior light bulb

3. The procedure for replacing the rear interior light bulb is illustrated in the photo.

Luggage compartment light

4. The luggage compartment light is mounted on spring contacts (see photo).

Glove box light

5. Remove the lampshade and take out the lamp (see photo).

Instrument cluster warning lights

6. Remove the instrument panel (see below).

7. Remove the lamp holder by turning it in the socket and take the lamp out of the holder (see photo). On some vehicles, the lamps are made integral with the holders.

Light switch indicator lights

8. Remove the switch. Turn the holder with a screwdriver from the back of the switch and remove it together with the lamp. The lamp is replaced together with the holder (see photo).

Clock/Display Backlight Lamp

9. Remove the clock/display (Chapter 12).

10. Rotate the holder from the back of the watch/display and remove it (see photo)

Heater control panel illumination lamp

11. Remove the panel and take out the lamp (see photo).
