Removing
Petrol and Diesel Models 1.7L SOHC
The sensor is screwed into the back of the oil pump housing.
1. If equipped, unscrew the fixing bolts and remove the crankcase protection.
2. Disconnect the wiring from the sensor.
3. Unscrew the gauge - get ready to collect the spilled fuel. If the sensor is removed for a long time, block the hole for its installation with a suitable plug.

Diesel models 1.7L DOHC
1. The sensor is screwed into the left side of the cylinder block, below and slightly behind the thermostat housing - in order to provide adequate access, remove the battery from the installation tray (see Checking the proper functioning of the preheating system).
2. Disconnect the electrical wiring and unscrew the sensor - get ready to collect spilled fuel. If the sensor is removed for a long time, block the hole for its installation with a suitable plug.
Diesel models 2.0 l
1. If equipped, remove the crankcase protection.
2. The sensor is screwed into the rear of the cylinder block, above the drive shaft - disconnect the electrical wiring from it.
3. Unscrew the gauge - get ready to collect the spilled fuel. If the sensor is removed for a long time, block the hole for its installation with a suitable plug.

Installation
1. Lightly lubricate the sensor threads with locking compound.
2. Screw the sensor into its original place and tighten it with the required force. Connect electrical wiring.
3. On petrol models and diesel models 1.7L SOHC and 2.0L install crankcase protection.
4. On 1.7L DOHC engines install battery with tray (see Checking the proper functioning of the preheating system).
5. Check engine oil level, correct if necessary (see chapter Current service).
