Warning! Before performing the operation, read the safety regulations for the maintenance and repair of the engine control system (see «Safety measures for the maintenance and repair of the engine management system»).
Comment. To replace oxygen concentration sensors, it is highly desirable to have a special key (see «Tools, fixtures and operating materials»).
Replacing the control oxygen sensor (on vehicles with two sensors)
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Remove the engine trim (see «Decorative overlay of the engine - removal and installation»).
3. Remove the wiring harness from the holder on the block head cover.
4. Disconnect the sensor wiring harness block.
5. Using a special key, turn the oxygen concentration sensor out of the exhaust manifold.
6. Install the parts in reverse order.
Replacing the Diagnostic Oxygen Sensor (on vehicles with two sensors)
To perform the work, an inspection ditch or overpass is required.
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Disconnect the block of the oxygen concentration sensor.
3. Using a 22 mm split wrench, loosen the sensor.
4. We turn the sensor out of the exhaust pipe.
5. Install the parts in reverse order.
Replacing the control oxygen sensor (on vehicles with one sensor)
To perform the work, an inspection ditch or overpass is required.
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Disconnect the block of the oxygen concentration sensor wiring harness and lower the harness down.
3. Remove the wiring harness from the brackets on the engine block.
4. Using a 22 mm wrench, unscrew the oxygen concentration sensor from the intake pipe.
5. Install the parts in reverse order.
Comment. We fix the sensor wiring harness in the mounting brackets to avoid contact with hot parts of the engine.
