Switches: if switches combine several functions (e.g. lever switches), then each switch function is shown separately. Its belonging to the general design of the circuit breaker is also indicated by numbers (e.g. S 5.1, S 5.2, etc.).
Fuse Box: The fuses are located at the top of the wiring diagrams. When connecting several structural elements or plug-in modules to one fuse, the same fuse is indicated in each case.
Mass: it is depicted by a bar at the bottom of the electrical diagram.
Structural nodes: they are arranged according to the letters in the table below:
Letter designation | Name | Example |
E | Miscellaneous | Lighting equipment |
F | Protective equipment | Fuses, protective relays, interlocks |
G | Current supply | Generator, battery, etc. |
H | Communication equipment | Optical and acoustic communication devices |
TO | Contactors | Relay, timing relay, turn signal relay |
L | Inductors | Ignition coil, choke coils |
M | Engines | Wipers, power windows, etc. |
R | Measuring instruments | RPM, clock, voltmeter, etc. |
R | resistance | Fan, additional resistance, etc. |
S | switches | Wipers, horn, taillights, etc. |
X | Terminals, connectors | Sockets, related terminals |
Y | Electrically driven mechanical equipment | Compressor, solenoid valve, power solenoid, etc. |
Wire Colors: These are abbreviated. Abbreviations mean: P - blue; X - brown, B - yellow; U - green; R - gray; A - red; F - black; U - purple; M - white.
Wire cross-section: the numbers after the wire color indicate its cross-section in mm2.
Standard terminals: single and double digits, sometimes with additional letters, as well as sometimes separate uppercase letters, denote standardized terminals of electrical assemblies. See also chapter «Wires and fuses».
For which models
The electrical circuit consists of several circuit parts and is compiled for the entire series of Vectra models. It contains all possible consumers and electrical circuits that can be installed during production. Because as part of the improvement of models in electrical equipment, changes are constantly made to electrical circuits, there may be some differences for your car.
