Clutch slave cylinder — removal and installation (Opel Vectra B)

Removal

1. Remove the gearbox.



2. Unscrew the union nut and disconnect the hydraulic pipe (A) from the clutch cylinder. Unscrew the three mounting bolts (B) and remove the clutch slave cylinder from the gearbox input shaft. Remove the sealing ring.

Installation

1. Check that the mating surfaces of the clutch slave cylinder and the transmission housing are clean and dry, and install a new O-ring into the transmission groove.

2. Lubricate the clutch slave cylinder with oil and install it in place, sliding it onto the gearbox input shaft. Check that the sealing ring is in the groove of the gearbox housing and secure the slave cylinder with bolts.

3. Connect the hydraulic pipe to the clutch slave cylinder.

4. Install the gearbox.
