Replacing the air filter element
The air filter is located in the front right corner of the engine compartment.

1. Release the fastening brackets and lift the air filter cover enough to remove the filter element.

2. Remove the filter element.

3. Thoroughly wipe the inside of the air cleaner housing and cover. Install the new filter element with the rubber seal facing up.
Replacing the fuel filter
Engine 1.7 l
1. Drain the fuel from the fuel filter.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the temperature switch and heater, which are located between the mounting plate and the fuel filter.
3. Unscrew the couplings and disconnect the fuel lines from the filter.
4. Unscrew the nuts and remove the filter from the engine compartment bulkhead. Separate the filter from the protective casing.
5. Unscrew the filter and remove the sealing rings from the filter head.
6. Install new O-rings into the top of the new filter element.
7. Lubricate the O-rings with fuel and screw on the new filter, tightening it by hand only.
8. Secure the bolt to the fuel filter and protective cover on the engine compartment bulkhead.
9. Reconnect the fuel lines with new sealing washers. Connect the electrical connectors to the temperature switch and heating element.
10. Start the engine and check the fuel system for leaks.
Engine 2.0 l
1. Drain the fuel from the fuel filter.

2. Unscrew the central bolt securing the fuel filter cover.

3. Remove the fuel filter cover from the filter housing.

4. Remove the fuel filter element.

5. Check the condition of the sealing rings.
6. Install a new filter element and fill the filter housing with fresh fuel.

7. Install the fuel filter cover and tighten with the center bolt (indicated by the arrow).
8. Start the engine and check the fuel system for leaks.
