Models with 4-cylinder engine
Removal
1. Set the front wheels straight ahead.
2. Mark the position of the steering arm in relation to the steering gear. Unscrew the mounting nut and remove the arm from the axle using a puller.
3. Remove the trim panel under the instrument panel.
4. Loosen the lower steering column mount clamp bolt and disconnect the steering column shaft from the steering gear.
5. Loosen the connecting nuts and disconnect the hydraulic pipes from the steering gear.
6. Remove the mounting bolts and nuts and remove the steering gear.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Models with 6-cylinder engine
Removal
1. Set the front wheels straight ahead.
2. Mark the position of the steering arm in relation to the steering gear. Unscrew the mounting nut and remove the arm from the axle using a puller.
3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the protective screens from the steering gear.
4. Disconnect the steering gear connection connector.
5. Remove the damper from the right side of the engine and unscrew the nut securing the right engine mount block to the body.
6. Lock the steering column lock to prevent the steering wheel from turning.
7. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster.
8. Release the pressure from the fuel system and disconnect the fuel lines from the intake manifold.
9. Remove the coolant reservoir.
10. Disconnect the hoses from the carbon filter.

11. Label and disconnect the hydraulic lines (indicated by arrows) from the steering gear.
12. Remove the trim panel under the instrument panel.
13. Loosen the lower steering column mount clamp bolt and disconnect the steering column shaft from the steering gear.
14. Install a hoist and raise the right side of the engine approximately 3 cm.
15. Remove the starter.
16. Unscrew the mounting bolts (indicated by arrows) and nuts and remove the steering gear.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
