Steering wheel — removal and installation (Opel Omega B)

Models without airbag module

Removal

1. Set the front wheels straight ahead.

2. Remove the panel in the center of the steering wheel and disconnect the two wires.

3. Unscrew the fastening nut and remove the washer.

4. Mark the installation position of the steering wheel and remove it.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Models with airbag module

Removal

1. Before removing the air bag module, disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 1 minute to discharge the module capacitors.

2. Remove the air bag module.

3. Set the front wheels straight ahead.



4. Mark the installation position of the steering wheel and disconnect the horn button connector.



5. Bend back the tabs.





6. Unscrew the fastening nut.



7. Remove the mounting nut.



8. Remove the washer.



9. Remove the steering wheel from the steering column.





10. Use a puller if necessary.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
