Removal
1. Remove the trim panel under the instrument panel and remove the air duct. Disconnect the connector for the brake light switch and unscrew the switch.
2. Disconnect the brake pedal return springs.

3. Remove the clamp and take out the pin that secures the vacuum booster pushrod to the brake pedal.
4. Remove the pedal bracket mounting bolt and mounting nuts and remove the bracket.
5. Unscrew the nut from the end of the pedal axle and remove the washer.
6. Remove the mounting clamps and take out the pedal axle. Remove the pedal.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
