Examination
1. Depress the brake pedal several times to remove the vacuum from the booster.
2. Press the brake pedal and start the engine. The pedal should drop slightly.
Removal
1. Depress the brake pedal several times to remove the vacuum from the booster.
2. Disconnect the connection connector from the brake fluid level sensor.
3. Loosen the master cylinder mounting nuts and remove it from the brake booster.
4. Remove the vacuum hose connecting elbow.
5. Disconnect the return spring from the brake pedal. Remove the brake light switch.
6. Remove the clamp and take out the pin that secures the vacuum booster pushrod to the brake pedal.
7. Unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the vacuum booster.
Installation
1. Screw the connecting fork onto the vacuum booster pushrod so that the distance between the surface of the booster mounting bracket and the hole on the fork is 106.0±0.5 mm. Tighten the lock nut.
2. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
