1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Set the front wheels straight ahead.
3. Remove the horn button from the center of the steering wheel with a lever and disconnect the two wires (photo).
4. Insert the ignition key and check that the steering column lock disengages.
5. Bend back the locking tab and unscrew the lock nut. Remove the locking tab (photo).
6. Mark the relative position of the inner column and the steering wheel, then remove the steering wheel by gently rocking it from side to side (photo). Do not use a hammer or mallet.
7. If necessary, unfasten the contact ring of the horn.
8. Check that the spring is placed on the inner column (photo) and lightly lubricate the horn pin with a copper-based lubricant.
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, but tighten the nut with the tightening torque regulated specification and fold down the locking tab.
