The structure of the system «Motronic ML4.1» (Opel Kadett E)

Cars with engines "20NE" and "20SEH" were equipped with a digital engine management system "Motronic ML4.1" bosch, which integrates ignition and fuel injection systems.

The fuel injection and ignition systems are controlled by a controller, which is a specialized digital microcomputer that processes a large number of input ignition and fuel injection parameters according to a preset algorithm and generates, on their basis, the corresponding ignition and injection control pulses.

System "Motronic ML4.1" incorporates a modified fuel injection system "LE-Jetronic", which received the designation "LE2-Jetronic", and a fully electronic ignition system.
