Removal and installation the generator (Opel Kadett E)

Removal

Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery and disconnect the generator multi-pin connector.

Loosen the nut securing the generator to the tension bar and the lower generator mounting bolt.

Remove the alternator drive belt and alternator.

Installation

Tighten the upper and lower generator mounting nuts.

Connect the generator connector, put on the generator drive belt and adjust its tension as shown below.

Tighten the mounting bolts and connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
