Removal



Raise the front of the car and place it on stands. Remove the front wheel, having previously marked its position relative to the hub.

Depending on the modification, disconnect the wires from the brake pad wear sensor.

Disconnect the brake hose from the slave cylinder and plug its hole to prevent brake fluid leakage.

Slide the protective caps off the caliper mounting bolts.

Slide the protective caps off the caliper mounting bolts.


Using a chisel as a lever, lift the metal rings of the protective caps.

Separate and remove the protective caps with a screwdriver.

Loosen the bolts securing the caliper to the steering knuckle using a hex socket wrench.

Remove the caliper.

Installation



Install the caliper and tighten the mounting bolts.

Connect the brake hose using new sealing rings.

Using the KM 404 1 and KM 404 3 tools, install new protective caps on the caliper mounting bolts. If the caps are installed correctly and hermetically, you should feel an elastic air cushion inside them.
