Replacing fuses (Opel Kadett D)

To prevent short circuits and overloads in wires and electrical devices, individual circuits are protected by fuses. The OPEL KADETT uses fuses that meet the latest technical achievements. They are designed as blade contacts so that blown fuses cannot be used again. All fuses are located in one box, which is located inside the passenger compartment to the left of the steering column.

Before replacing a fuse, always switch off the corresponding electrical appliance first.



Fold down the fuse box cover. A faulty fuse can be identified by a burnt-out fuse link.



Remove the faulty fuse.

Insert a new fuse of the same rating. The individual circuits are marked on the cover.

The fuse rating is indicated on the back side. In addition, it has a color marking by which you can find out its rating. A - fuse link.

If a newly inserted fuse blows after a short time, the relevant circuits should be checked.

Do not use bugs under any circumstances, as this may cause serious damage to electrical equipment.



It is recommended to always have spare fuses in your vehicle. They can be placed in the fuse box -part A-.

Close the fuse box cover.



If you need to remove the fuse box, press the lock on the desired side upwards (arrow) and at the same time pull the box out of the instrument panel trim.
