Checking the voltage stabilizer (Opel Kadett D)

            0

Disconnect the coolant temperature cable from the temperature sensor.

Turn on the ignition.

Caution: The removed cable must not come into contact with ground.

Measure the voltage between the male and the ground. The specified value is 100±2 V.

If the voltage is approximately 6 V, then the stabilizer is installed in a mirror-inverted position, i.e. the terminals for the input and output voltages are mixed up. Remove the voltage stabilizer and install it again, turning it 180°.

If the voltage is significantly higher than 10 V (normal on-board voltage), then it is necessary to remove the voltage stabilizer and check whether the pi mass is connected to the middle connecting contact. If this is not the case, then a piece of copper wire should be soldered between the resistor and the middle connecting contact.
