Instructions for installing additional equipment (Opel Kadett D)

            0

After drilling or punching holes in the body, their edges must be cleaned and painted. The chips that arise during drilling must be removed. In particular, cover the moldings near the drilling site, since when chips get between the molding and the varnish coating, they begin to rust under the influence of atmospheric phenomena and cause damage to the integrity of the coating.

For all installation work involving wiring, for safety reasons, it is essential to disconnect the battery ground cable. Cables that must be laid when installing additional equipment should, if possible, be laid along existing cable harnesses using the existing clamps and rubber rings.

Additionally, reinforce newly laid cables with electrical tape, plastic mass, cable tape, etc. to eliminate noise from the cable while driving. In this case, be especially careful that the distance between the laid cable and the wires to the brake light is at least 10 mm, and the new cable should be laid at a distance of at least 25 mm from the wires that are connected to the engine or other moving parts of the car.

When installing additional equipment, make sure it does not overload the generator. If necessary, install a generator with more power.
