Removal and installation the rear hatch (Opel Corsa C)

Removal

Remove the rear hatch inner trim.

Remove the windshield wiper nozzle hose.

Lift the locking bracket.

Press the air spring 1 out of the ball joint.

Release and pull out hinge pin 2.

Disconnect the wiring harness connector.

Remove the rear hatch.

When replacing: reinstall or replace the mounted parts of the rear hatch.

Installation

Install the rear hatch.

Connect the wire harness connector.

Press the air spring onto the ball joint.

Install the windshield wiper nozzle hose.

Install the rear hatch interior trim.

If necessary, adjust both hinges 1, lock 3, rubber cushions 2.

Note: To lubricate the tailgate hinge pins: Use high pressure grease.

Note: Clearances shown are for a complete, painted tailgate with all fittings installed.
