Removal and installation the throttle pedal (Opel Astra J)

The throttle control pedal is removed for replacement if it fails, as it is a non-repairable unit and is supplied as spare parts only as an assembly.

You will need a wrench or socket head "11".

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.



2. Pry up the retainer of the throttle pedal position sensor wiring harness connector…



3. …unfasten the retainer and disconnect the shoe from the pedal.



4. Remove the bolt securing the throttle pedal to the front shield…

5. …and remove the pedal.

Note: Pay attention to the markings on the pedal. Purchase a new pedal with the same markings.

6. Install the throttle pedal in the reverse order of removal.
