Disassembling the pump is quite labor-intensive, so if it malfunctions, we recommend replacing the pump assembly.
You will need: tORX T30, T45 keys, TORX E10 socket head, sliding pliers or combination pliers.

1. Drain the cooling system (see Replacing the coolant).
2. Remove the accessory drive belt (see Replacement of auxiliary drive belt).

3. Loosen the clamp of the tee hose by squeezing its bent ears with pliers, slide the clamp along the hose..

4. …and disconnect the hose from the water pump pipe.

5. Remove the two bolts securing the water distribution pipe to the water pump.
Note: The exhaust manifold has been removed for clarity.

Caution! The flange of the water distribution pipe is sealed with a rubber ring. Replace this ring each time the connection is disassembled.

6. Remove the three water pump pulley mounting bolts…

7. …and remove the pulley.

8. Remove the five water pump mounting bolts…

9. …and remove the pump.

Caution! The pump body flange is sealed with a rubber gasket. Replace this gasket with a new one each time the connection is disassembled.
10. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
11. Fill with coolant (see Replacing the coolant).
