Removal and installation the expansion tank (Opel Astra J)

You will need: a flat-blade screwdriver, pliers.



1. Drain the cooling system (see Replacing the coolant).



2. Loosen the clamp securing the steam outlet hose by squeezing its bent ears with pliers, slide the clamp along the hose…



3. …and remove the hose from the expansion tank fitting.



4. Similarly, remove the hose supplying liquid to the radiator of the cooling system from the expansion tank fitting.





5. Use a screwdriver to press the expansion tank holder lock…



6. …remove the retainer…



7. …and then the expansion tank from the bracket on the body.

8. Install the expansion tank in the reverse order of removal.
