Checking external lighting fixtures (Opel Astra J)

Check the operation of the headlights, taillights, additional brake light, turn signals and license plate lights. Replace faulty bulbs (see Replacing lamps).

The following types of lamps are used in cars:



1 – high beam lamp, lamp type H7 (55 W);

2 – low beam lamp, lamp type H7 (55 W) (when installing xenon headlights - D2S);

3 – daytime driving light bulb, bulb type W21/ 5W (21/ 5 W);



1 – fog lamp bulb, bulb type H10 (42 W);

2 – front turn signal lamp, lamp type RSY24 (24 W);



1, 4 – side light bulbs, bulb type W5W (5 W);



2 – brake light bulb, bulb type W16W (16 W);

3 – rear turn signal lamp, lamp type W16W (16 W);

5 - rear fog light bulb (in the left rear light), lamp type H21W (21 W), or reversing light lamp (in the right rear light), lamp type H21W (21 W);

• additional brake light bulbs, bulb type P5W (5 W, 9 pieces);

• side turn signal lamp, lamp type PY5W (5W);

• license plate light bulbs (two lanterns), lamp type W5W (5 W).
