Battery — Removal and Installation (Opel Astra G)

1. The battery is located on the left side of the engine compartment. On some vehicles, the battery is installed in a protective casing.

2. Remove the cover and disconnect the negative terminal from the battery (see photo).

Warning! The battery must be disconnected within 15 seconds after turning off the ignition. Otherwise, the anti-theft system will be activated.

3. Remove the cover and disconnect the positive terminal from the battery.

4. Loosen the bolt, remove the pressure plate and remove the battery from the engine compartment (see photo).



5. If necessary, remove the battery tray by unscrewing the bolts and removing the wiring from the brackets (see photo).



6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
