Note. The sliding roof is a complex device consisting of a large number of parts. It is highly recommended that its mechanism not be dismantled, unless it is unavoidable. If repairs are required, contact a specialist.
Glass panel
Pull the sunroof panel all the way back and open the glass panel half way.
Remove the four screws from the front edge of the plastic track pad and pull the pad down through the roof opening (pic. 11.32, 11.33).
Slide the glass panel forward and slide it out so that it is in an inclined position.
Remove the plastic trim strips from the rails to expose the panel screws (pic. 11.34).
Remove three screws from each rail and replace lock washers where required (pic. 11.35).
Carefully lift the glass panel off the sunroof opening, being careful not to damage the vehicle's painted surfaces.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Before installing the glass panel, measure the distances, bend the flanges if necessary to obtain the required size (pic. 11.30.).
Before fully tightening the glass panel fixing screws, close the panel and fix it in position to obtain the dimensions shown in fig. 11.31.
If a new glass panel is being installed, remove the protective foil after fitting.

Remove the glass panel as described earlier in this section.
Remove the two screws, then lift the chute out of the roof opening.
