Note: The sliding roof is a complex device consisting of many parts. It is strongly recommended that its mechanism not be disassembled unless it is unavoidable. If repairs are required, contact a specialist.

Pull the sliding roof panel all the way back and open the glass panel halfway.

Remove the four screws from the front edge of the plastic guide gasket and pull the gasket down through the roof opening (fig. 11.32, 11.33).

Slide the glass panel forward and tilt it so that it is in an inclined position.

Remove the plastic trim strips from the guides to expose the panel screws (fig. 11.34).

Remove three screws from each guide and replace lock washers where required (fig. 11.35).

Carefully lift the glass panel from the sunroof opening, being careful not to damage the painted surfaces of the vehicle.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.

Before installing the glass panel, measure the distances, bend the flanges if necessary to obtain the required size (fig. 11.30.).

If installing a new glass panel, remove the protective foil after fitting.

Remove the two screws, then lift the gutter out of the roof opening.

Place the gutter onto the roof opening at an angle, tilting the top of the gutter so that the tabs engage with the gutter guides.

Install and tighten the screws.
