Final Drive Unit Rear Cover Gasket — Replacement (Opel Omega B2)

1. Remove the final drive as described in Chapter 2.

2. Place the final drive unit in a suitable tray, then unclip and remove the rear cover of the unit. Remove the gasket and allow the oil to drain.

3. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the final drive housing and cover.

4. Apply a layer of recommended sealant to the contact surface of the crankcase.

5. Install the back cover, then insert and gradually tighten the bolts to the specified tightening torque Specifications. It is recommended to use new bolts.

6. Install the final drive as described in Chapter 2.

7. Lower the vehicle to the ground. Finally, fill the final drive unit with the correct amount and type of oil.
