Axle shaft boots and outer CV joint (Opel Omega B)

Replacement

1. Remove the axle shaft and clamp it in a vice.

2. Knock the cover off the outer hinge.

3. Remove the clamps from the anthers.

4. Cut off the old dust boots and clean the joints from grease.

5. Remove the retaining ring and knock the axle shaft out of the outer joint.

6. Fill the inner joint with grease and install the new boot, securing it with clamps.

7. Place the outer boot onto the axle shaft.

8. Install the new outer joint and secure it with the snap ring. Fill the joint with grease.

9. Install the outer joint boot in place and tighten the clamps.

10. Install the housing onto the outer joint and replace the inner axle shaft snap ring.

11. Install the axle shaft onto the vehicle.
