Damper bushings of the main transmission (Opel Omega B)

Front hub

Replacement

1. Place a support under the final drive and disconnect the ABS sensor connectors.

2. Loosen the mounting bolts and lower the final drive slightly.



3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the bushing mounting bracket. Replace the bushing.

Rear bushings

Installing new bushings

The distance I between the inner edges of the bushings should be equal to 300–302 mm.

Replacement

1. Remove the final drive.

2. Remove the fuel filter from its mountings and set it aside.

3. Press the bushings out of the rear suspension crossmember.

4. Press on new bushings so that the distance between their inner edges is 300–302 mm.

5. Install the final drive into place.
