Gear shift lever (Opel Omega B)

Removal

1. Remove the center portion of the instrument panel and set the gearshift lever to position (P).

2. Raise and support the front of the vehicle.

3. Remove the shift rod.

4. Remove the front and rear heater vent brackets. Remove the vent.

5. Disconnect the wire from the transmission mode switch.

6. Drill out the rivets securing the shift lever support plate to the floor. Remove the lever.

7. Inspect the lever for worn or damaged parts.

Installation

1. Install the gear shift lever and rivet its support plate with new rivets.

2. Connect the switch wire.

3. Install the remaining parts.
