Removing
1. The battery is located on the left side of the engine compartment.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal wire.
3. Remove the fuse jumper cover, if necessary, and disconnect the positive battery terminal.
4. Loosen the bolt and remove the battery retainer clip. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Lubricate the battery terminals with petroleum jelly before connecting the wires.

Examination
It is recommended to check the specific gravity of the electrolyte every three months to determine the battery charge.

Check the density of the electrolyte in each section of the battery. If the specific gravity of the electrolyte differs by more than 0.040 between sections, the battery must be replaced.
Maintenance free battery
Examination
The battery does not require topping up the electrolyte and checking its density. An indicator is used to check the battery status.
Normal battery and low maintenance battery
Charger
When charging the battery, the temperature of the electrolyte should not exceed 37.8°C.
1. The charging current should be 3.5–4 amperes. It is necessary to continue charging until the specific gravity of the electrolyte increases within 4 hours.
2. Also, to charge the battery, you can use a battery charger for continuous recharging of the battery with a charging current of 1.5 Amperes. This charger can be left on overnight.
Maintenance free battery
Charger
Charging this type of battery takes longer than charging conventional batteries. Charging must be carried out at a voltage of 13.9-14.9 volts, the charging current should not exceed 25 amperes.
