Removal air from the fuel system (Opel Omega B)

If the tank has been emptied once or if a fuel system part has been replaced, then, as a rule, the system is not bled, since it is bled automatically during start-up.

If the power supply system has not been bled automatically, you must do the following.

Warning! Keep the area clean when working with the injection system.

Be careful not to let diesel fuel come into contact with the coolant hoses. Clean the hoses if necessary.

1. Loosen the fuel filter bolt (1) approximately 2 turns.

2. Turn on the starter, wait until the fuel flows out - place a container underneath.

3. Tighten the bolt.



4. While the starter is running, loosen all the injection system pipes leading to the injector and tighten again to 25 Nm after the fuel has flowed out.

5. Wipe up any spilled fuel.
