Checking the fuel shut-off valve

The electromagnetic shut-off valve on the high-pressure fuel pump opens the fuel supply when the ignition is turned on. It should be checked if the engine does not start or continues to run after the ignition is turned off.

Warning! When working with the injection system, cleanliness rules must be observed.

1. Turn the ignition switch on the steering wheel on and off. The electromagnetic switch should click.

2. Otherwise, unscrew the electrical wires.

3. Run an auxiliary cable from the positive battery terminal to the valve.

4. If the valve now clicks, check the voltage supply according to the electrical diagram, replace if necessary.

5. If no fault is found, replace the valve.

Removal

Removal

Disconnect the cable and unscrew the valve.

Installation

1. Install the piston and valve spring into the new valve. Make sure the sealing rings are correctly positioned.

2. Screw in the new valve with a torque of 20 Nm.

3. Screw the cable.
