Rear suspension — removal and installation (Opel Omega B)

Removal

1. Remove the intermediate and rear sections of the exhaust system.

2. Remove the handbrake cable balancer.

3. Remove the brake calipers.

4. Remove the ABS sensors.

5. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the final drive flange.

6. Place a thick board under the suspension arms and place a jack under the center of the board.

7. Remove the bolts securing the final drive brackets to the body.

8. Unscrew the bolts of the lower shock absorber mounts.

9. Remove the suspension springs and shims.



10. Remove the three mounting bolts (A) and the center bolt (B) of the front suspension crossmember mount and remove the rear suspension.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
