Rear suspension arm — removal and installation (Opel Omega B)

Removal

1. Remove the axle shaft from the rear wheel hub.

2. Remove the brake caliper and brake disc.

3. Remove the handbrake cable from the lever.

4. Disconnect the rear suspension height sensor connector. Mark the position of the sensor arm and disconnect it from the stabilizer bar connecting rod.

5. Remove the rear wheel hub and brake shield.

6. Disconnect the tie rod from the suspension arm.

7. Lower the rear of the exhaust system.

8. Disconnect the stabilizer bar connecting rod from the suspension arm.

9. Remove the suspension spring.

10. Install a support under the differential. Remove the central bearing of the propeller shaft from the bottom of the body.

11. Loosen the front rear suspension crossmember mounting bolts and lower the crossmember and differential slightly.

12. Remove the pivot bolts and the control arm. Replace the bushings if necessary.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
