Rear wheel hub and bearings (Opel Omega B)

Removal

1. Loosen the axle shaft mounting nut and remove the axle shaft from the hub.

2. Remove the brake caliper.

3. Unscrew the lower shock absorber mounting bolt to the suspension arm.

4. Remove the brake shield.



5. Tighten the wheel mounting bolts back into place and, holding the hub with a crowbar, unscrew the central hub mounting nut.

6. Remove the axle flange using a puller.

7. Remove the hub and bearing using a puller.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
