To remove and install the gearbox drive target, it is necessary to remove the gearbox from the vehicle

Removal



Remove the cover of the valve box - oil pump assembly.

Remove the two bolts securing the forced reverse shift drive mechanism.

Unscrew the bolts indicated by the arrows in the photo from the valve box. Bolt 2 for fastening the oil pump cover does not need to be unscrewed.

Warning: To unscrew bolt 3, use the special key KM 25359/5 or Facom J 235.


Remove the valve box.

Remove the ball indicated by the arrow in the photo and remove the shield.

Remove the oil pump drive shaft.

Remove five balls from the nests.

Disconnect the gear selector mechanism.

Unscrew the spacer mounting bolts.

Warning. Unscrew bolt 1 (see photo) securing the spacer using a special key KM 25359/5 or Facom J 235.

Remove the intermediate crankcase.

Remove the spring and pressure accumulator.

Remove the plastic ring from the torque converter turbine shaft. Remove the thrust sleeve of the driven sprocket.

Remove the chain and both sprockets.

Installation



Install the sprocket washers, having lubricated the support washer of the drive sprocket with green grease, catalog No.90093 201. The washer is installed with the protrusion towards the sprocket.

Install the sprockets with the chain on them, with the colored mark on the chain facing up.

Install the plastic ring of the drive sprocket and the thrust sleeve of the driven sprocket.

Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
  • replace gaskets;
  • before installing the balls, apply green grease to them, catalog No.90093 201.
