Tire wear (Opel Kadett D)

            0

Tires of balanced wheels, with precise observance of the prescribed pressure, with error-free installation and with the correct operation of shock absorbers, wear evenly over the entire working surface. It is not necessary to talk about a specific service life of tires of a certain model, since the service life depends on various factors:
  • Road surface
  • Tire pressure
  • Nature of movement
  • Weather conditions

First of all, a sporty driving style, abrupt starting and abrupt braking contribute to rapid tire wear.

Note: According to the rules, the tread depth should be at least 1.6 mm. For greater safety, it is recommended to change the tire at the smallest tread depth of 2 mm. If the tread depth approaches the tolerance, which means that the 1.6 mm wear indicators located around the entire wheel have almost no pattern, the tires should be changed.

Attention: Check the tires for cuts. Use a small screwdriver to determine the depth of the cuts. If the cut reaches the frame, then this table frame will rust from penetrating moisture. Because of this, the working surface peels off from the frame and the tire breaks. Therefore, if cuts are found, the tire should be replaced.
