2. If traces of brake fluid leaks are found, the brake caliper needs to be repaired or replaced.
3. Mark the position of the caliper piston (1) relative to the caliper housing at rest of the brake system (4).
4. Ask an assistant to press and release the brake pedal several times and observe the caliper piston:
- Make sure the piston moves freely and smoothly (1) every time the brakes are applied (5).
- Ensure smooth and smooth return of the piston (1) every time you release the brake pedal (6).
