2. To remove the replacement element, it is necessary to disconnect the air intake duct from the air cleaner housing (see accompanying illustration) together with the mass air flow sensor installed on it, if necessary, disconnect the sensor wiring connector. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the filter cover.
3. Remove the filter element, wipe the inner surfaces of the cover and the air cleaner body with a dry cloth and install a new replacement element. Assembly is performed in the reverse order.
Note: At the factory, the air cleaner cover is secured with self-tapping screws, they can be used no more than 10 times. If the cover is no longer held tightly on the air cleaner body, it is necessary to drill holes of a suitable diameter in the mounting locations and use ordinary bolts and nuts to secure the cover.
