Warning: Consider the precautions to be taken when working on the electrical system.
Always remove rings, watches, etc. before working on electrical equipment. Even with the battery disconnected, accidental grounding to ground through a metal object can cause the capacitor to discharge, which can cause shock or severe burns.
Do not reverse the polarity of the battery terminals. Equipment such as the alternator, fuel injection/ignition control system, or any other component containing solid state components can be permanently damaged.
When starting the engine with an additional battery, the connection of the wires also requires polarity. This also applies to the battery charger.
Do not disconnect battery terminals, alternator, any electrical wires or test tools while the engine is running.
The engine must not be allowed to turn the alternator unless it is connected to the electrical system.
It is forbidden "check" generator current "spark" when the wire approaches ground.
Always ensure that the negative battery terminal is disconnected while you are working on the electrical system.
Before working with arc welding, disconnect the battery, alternator and components such as the ignition/fuel injection control unit to protect them from damage.
